Overview

The Grex Tritium.TG3 Double Action Pistol Style Trigger Airbrush is a premium gravity-feed airbrush built for users who want fine control without the awkward feel of a traditional top-button airbrush. This is an airbrush designed for detailed paint application in fine art, automotive touch-up, hobby work, makeup, signs, and textile work. Model Number: Tritium.TG3. If you want detail capability with a trigger layout that feels more natural in the hand, this is the kind of setup that makes long sessions easier to manage.

What separates this airbrush from a lot of basic units is how it handles control. The easy-to-use double action pull trigger manages both air and paint, which gives you the fine adjustment serious users want without the finger fatigue that can come with conventional airbrush triggers. For anyone stepping up from entry-level equipment, that matters. You get better feel, better rhythm, and less fighting with the tool when you are trying to keep a line clean or blend a shaded area smoothly.

The Tritium.TG3 is set up for detail work with an internally mixed design and a 0.3 mm nozzle. In plain terms, that means it is aimed at producing a finer spray pattern and more controlled atomization, which is exactly what you want when the finish quality matters more than just moving material fast. Precision machined stainless steel nozzle and needle components also point to a tool built for repeatable performance, not just occasional hobby use.

Grex also did the practical stuff right. The ergonomic pistol handgrip has a textured surface for a more secure hold, and the inline top-mount cup layout helps keep the airbrush balanced in use. That sounds small until you spend real time spraying. Balanced handling helps you stay steady, especially during close-in detail work where hand position directly affects the result. The cup design is also meant to maintain paint flow when the airbrush is held at an angle, which is useful when the surface or part position is not perfectly flat or easy to reach.

Another smart feature is the Quick-Fit system. The patented Quick-Fit needle caps are designed for fast setup and removal, and the Quick-Fit crown cap allows close-in detailed spraying near the work surface. There is also rear handle storage for a Quick-Fit needle cap, which is the kind of small convenience that actually helps on the bench because you are not digging around for the piece you just removed. It saves time, and it reduces the chance of misplacing small parts.

This airbrush is also more versatile than single-cup designs because it includes interchangeable top-mount reservoirs. You get 2 mL, 7 mL, and 15 mL cups with lids, so you can choose the size that fits the job. For tiny detail work or color changes, the small cup keeps weight down and limits wasted material. For longer passes or broader coverage, the larger cups reduce refill interruptions. That flexibility makes the Grex Tritium.TG3 Double Action Pistol Style Trigger Airbrush a better fit for users who bounce between detail work and medium-size spraying tasks.

With a maximum pressure rating of 80 psi, the tool has enough headroom for a range of airbrush applications, but its real selling point is not brute pressure. It is control, comfort, and workflow. This is not the airbrush you buy because it is cheap. This is the one you buy because you are tired of awkward ergonomics, inconsistent detail control, or making one cup size work for every project.

If you are a serious hobbyist, fine artist, custom painter, sign maker, textile artist, or automotive user who values precision and comfort, this model makes a lot of sense. It is also a strong choice for buyers who want a more approachable trigger-style airbrush without giving up the fine-detail capability that usually pushes people toward more traditional designs.

Comfort That Helps You Stay Precise

The pistol-style grip changes how this airbrush feels in actual use. Instead of forcing your finger into a top-button motion for long periods, the pull trigger gives you a more natural hand position and better feel when you are feathering paint in or backing it off.

• Double action trigger controls both air and paint
• Textured ergonomic handgrip supports a firmer, more comfortable hold

Match Cup Size to the Job

Different jobs need different amounts of material, and this setup gives you options right out of the case. Smaller cups are better for detail work and fast color changes. Larger cups are better when you want to keep moving without constant refills.

• Includes 2 mL, 7 mL, and 15 mL top cups with lids
• Inline top-mount cup design helps keep the airbrush balanced

Set Up Fast and Spray Close

Grex built this model around workflow, not just spray quality. The Quick-Fit needle cap system makes cap changes and setup easier, and the crown cap is useful when you need to work close to the surface without giving up control.

• Patented Quick-Fit needle caps are quick to install and remove
• Quick-Fit crown cap supports close detailed spraying near the work surface

• Why it stands out: The pistol trigger ergonomics, 0.3 mm detail capability, Quick-Fit cap system, and included cup options make it more usable day to day than a lot of standard airbrush designs.
