Overview

The Milwaukee 48-22-8920 Cut Level 3 Winter Insulated Gloves are cold-weather cut-resistant work gloves built for tradespeople who still need hand protection, grip, and usable finger control when temperatures drop. This is a winter insulated work glove designed for cold-weather material handling, demolition, wire stripping, and pipe threading. Model Number: 48-22-8920. This small-size pair is aimed at users who do not want bulky winter gloves that make it harder to grab fasteners, wire, fittings, or tools.

The big story here is balance. A lot of insulated gloves keep your hands warm but make fine work frustrating. Milwaukee built this pair with a warm acrylic terry liner, a secure dual liner, a 7 gauge inner liner for warmth, and a 15 gauge outer liner for better dexterity and breathability. In plain terms, you get more warmth than a standard dipped glove without giving up the control you need for everyday jobsite tasks.

Protection is another key reason these gloves stand out. They carry an ANSI/ISEA 105-2016 Cut Level A3 rating, along with EN511: 02X and EN 388: 2442C ratings listed in the source data. That makes them a smart fit for work where cold conditions and cut hazards show up together. If you are handling rough metal, rebar, pipe, jobsite debris, or wire, that extra cut resistance matters a lot more than a basic winter glove.

For grip and wet-weather practicality, Milwaukee uses a 3/4 double-dipped latex microfinish with a sandy latex finish. That coating helps with water resistance and improves hold on tools and material when surfaces are cold or damp. The 3/4 dip also keeps more of the glove covered where you usually need it most while leaving the back breathable enough for longer wear.

These gloves are built with jobsite use in mind, not just general outdoor wear. The breathable glove design helps with comfort over a full day, and the secure dual liner is there to stop the annoying liner separation that can happen after repeated use. That is the kind of small design detail you appreciate once you have spent enough mornings pulling gloves on and off around a cold site.

Milwaukee also uses color-coded bands for easier cut level identification, which is useful when crews keep multiple glove types around the truck, box, or gang box. Instead of guessing which pair is which, you can sort them faster and grab the right protection level for the job.

Who should buy these? They make the most sense for construction crews, demolition work, mechanical trades, utility work, maintenance, and serious DIY users working outside in winter. If your work involves cold conditions, moderate cut hazards, and frequent tool handling, these gloves hit a sweet spot. If you only need maximum warmth and do not care about dexterity, a heavier winter glove may be better. But if you need to keep working with your hands instead of just keeping them covered, this Milwaukee pair is the more useful choice.

Built for Real Cold-Weather Work

These gloves are made for the kind of winter work where bare-hand precision is not an option, but oversized gloves are a problem. You get insulation, grip, and cut protection in one glove that is still usable for actual trade work.

• ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A3 protection for work around sharp material
• Warm acrylic terry liner and 7 gauge inner liner help hold warmth in cold conditions
• Ideal applications listed in source data include demolition, wire stripping, and pipe threading

Grip and Dexterity Where You Need It

Cold-weather gloves are only useful if you can still run tools and handle material safely. Milwaukee uses a 15 gauge outer liner for better dexterity, plus a sandy latex finish to help you keep control when tools and surfaces get slick.

• 15 gauge outer liner supports better fingertip control
• 3/4 double-dipped latex microfinish adds water resistance and warmth
• Breathable back helps comfort during longer wear
